Dal bati churma recipe

Ingredients-
  -For dal
1. 1 cup mix dal.(chana dal, yellow mung           dal,green mung dal,tovar dal,urad dal).
2. 8-10 garlic cloves.
3. 1 big tomato.
4. Curry leaves.
5. 1 green chili.
6. Oil.
7. 1 tsp red chili powder
8. 1 tsp cumin coriander powder.
9. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
10. Salt per taste
11.mustard seeds.
12.cumin seeds.
13.dry red chili.
14.bay leaf.
15.long,whole black paper.
16.coriander leaves.

 Bati-
 1. 2.5 cup course wheat flour.
 2. 1/2 cup wheat flour.(regular)
 3. 1 tbsp millet flour.(optional)
 4. 1 tbsp oil.
 5. Salt.
 6. Water.
 7. Ghee.


 garlic chutney-
 1. 15 garlic cloves.
 2. 2 tsp red chili powder.
 3. 1 tsp cumin coriander powder.
 4. Salt.
 5 ghee.

 churma-
 1. 2 bati(8pieces).
 2. 1 tbsp ghee.
 3. JAggery as per taste.
 4. Dry fruit powder.

Method-

 1. Dal-
-wash dal and add approx 350 ml water and
 Presser cook for 15-20 minutes or till the dal
 Is cooked.

-Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin and    mustard seeds.when seed started crackling
 Add bay leaf,whole dry chili,cloves,whole  black paper and chopped tomato. And cook
 Until tomato become soft.

-Add salt,chili powder,cumin coriander  powder and garlic paste,saute msala for    minute. Add boiled dal and approx 1 cup hot
 Water for adjust the consistency of dal.

-Simmer dal for 15-20 minutes. Add coriander leaves. Dal is ready keep aside.

Bati-
- mix all ingredients in large bowl and knee
 Tight dough.

- devide dough into 10 equal parts and make
 Round shape bati.

-Boil water in a broad vessel and drop the  batis in the boiling water. Cook for 20  mnts
 On high flame with lid.

-when batis are done drain and keep aside   when it cool down make 4 pieces
from each.

-Heat desi ghee in heavy bottom pan and  deep fry bati pieces on medium flam until    they turn golden brown.fry all remaining  bati.

-Batis are ready keep them aside.

Garlic chutney-
-mix garlic,salt,cumin coriander powder and
 Red chili in kharal. Make smooth paste.

-Heat desi ghee in a pan when the ghee in a  pan hot enough add mustard seeds and let  them crackle.

-Add garlic paste,mix well and turn of gas
 Imedietly.

Churma-
-Devide bati into small pieces using hands  and place them in mixer grinder jar.

-Grind until bati pieces become smooth  powder.

-Transfer into a large bowl,add jaggery  powder,melted ghee according your taste
 Garnish with dry fruit powder.


Serving idea-
-break each bati into small pieces using your
 hand,pour dal over it,drizzle some ghee over
 it and serve with churma,garlic chutney and
 Onion.
