Methia no msalo/ achar msala (Koro sambar)pickle masala


 Ingredients-
 1. 1 cup fenugreek seeds(methi Dana).
  2. 1/4 cup mustard seed.
  3 1/2 cup red chilli powder(kashmiri chilli).
  4. 1/4 cup oil.
  5. 1 tsp aasofatida.
  6. Salt to taste or approx 1/4 cup.


Method-
  (1) Take a nonstic pan and heat oil for 2-3 minutes . When oil get proper heat,turn of flame and allow to cool little.
  (2) Blend fenugreek and mustard seed in a mixer to a coarse powder.
  (3) In a large bowl mix all ingredients, mustard fenugreek powder,salt,chilli powder and aasofatida and mix well.
 (4) Finally add warm oil in mixture and mix well.

 (5) let the cool down msala and store in air tight container and use as required.

     - Methino msalo is a tongue tickling                      gujrati spice powder.
        -the powder spice mix stays good for                  almost 1 year.
   Use- It is used as an accompaniment for                    parathas,thepla and rotis.Ghee is                     applied on khakhra and this msala                   is sprinkled ovar it to make tasty                       snack within minutes.
          -it is also useful to make instant pickle                like cucumber,tindora,gunda.
