Veg pulao recipe


Tips - use basmati rice instead of regular rice.
         - you may also use other vagetables of                your choice like  french beans,                          cauliflower,carrot etc.(I used my choice            of vegetables.)
Ingredients - 
    1. 1cup rice
    2. 1/2 cup heaped Each of Finney chopped           potatoes, tomatoes,onion,green peas,mix         coloured capsicums​.
    3. whole spices like 3 cloves, 5 black                       papper,1 red chilli(without seeded) 1 Bea         leaf ,1 dagalfull,1 black cardamom,1/2          tsp mustard and cumin seeds.
    4. 1 chopped green chilli.
    5. Few curry patta.
    6. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder(kashmiri)
    7. 1 tsp cumin coriander powder.
    8. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 
    9.salt to taste.
    10. 1 tbsp ghee+1 tbsp oil.
    11. Fresh coriander leaves for garnish.
Method-
    1. Wash rice soak for 30 minutes and cook           them on low to  medium flam without               the lid, add oil and  salt.
    2. Cook rice till the rice grains cooked                   well,don't cook rice to much or make                 them mushy. This will spoil the texture of         your pulao.
   3. In a strainer,add cooked rice and let all            the water drain away. Keep aside,and let          them cool down.
   4.In a large pan or kadai take oil and butter        and add curry leaves all whole spices and        saute them little bit.
   5. Now add Finney chopped onion and once         the onion turns slightly translucent Add           green chilli, potato ,tomato and green               peas and cook for two three minutes                 with lid
   6. Add Finney chopped capsicum and mix           well.
   7. Add salt and all dry spices and mix with           vegetables.
   8. Finally add steamed rice,mix gently and           cook for 2-3 minutes with lid.
   9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve         hot with curry or raita.
